Six meaning in Bible passages includes the count of workdays and the sixth day in Genesis' creation sequence. The relationship with the seventh day is explicit in Exodus 20. That relation does not make every six-count evil or identify every person through a number.
Genesis places land animals and humanity in the sixth-day sequence. Exodus sets six days of work beside a seventh-day Sabbath and points back to creation. These are a literary sequence and a command with a stated rationale. They do not supply a universal equation saying six means sin or human failure.

Genesis: read the sixth day in sequence
Genesis 1:24-31 moves through land creatures, humanity, blessing and food provision. The sixth-day ending marks that ordered account. The passage also describes what God sees as good. A claim that six is intrinsically evil would sit poorly with the source's own evaluation.
The count matters because it locates these actions before the completion and rest scene. It should not replace the account's other claims about image, blessing and responsibility. A day number is one part of a larger literary structure.
Exodus: six days beside the Sabbath
Exodus 20:9-11 addresses work and rest. The command names those within a household's sphere and gives a creation rationale. Read the seventh day alongside the six; they form the contrast in the command. This is more specific than a general label human number.
Different traditions explain the command's continuing application in different ways. This reference does not turn the numeral into a ruling on every later Sabbath question. It reports the wording and the connection the passage itself makes.
Six and 666 are separate questions
Revelation's number of the beast belongs to a different book and scene. A shared digit is not enough to carry every interpretation of that number back into Genesis. The 666 entry keeps its own textual and interpretive limits.
If a source proposes a connection, ask for the actual argument. The presence of the digit six in a larger number is not a complete argument by itself. Avoid reading ordinary workday counts as coded accusations against modern people.

FAQ
Does six always mean imperfection?
That is a later interpretive association, not a universal definition stated in Genesis or Exodus. Their sixth-day and six-workday uses must be read with the good creation language and the Sabbath rationale.
